Procurement Conditions of the Volkswagen Group Logistics

Volkswagen Konzernlogistik GmbH & Co. OHG is responsible for managing and optimizing the logistics chains of the Volkswagen Group. Based in Wolfsburg, Group Logistics primarily coordinates the transport of production materials as well as the transport and distribution of new and used vehicles.

In doing so, the company plays a central role in the Group’s supply chain management and ensures that millions of components and thousands of vehicles are moved every day by ship, rail, and truck, reliably connecting the global network of suppliers, more than 100 production sites, and over 150 sales markets.

In addition, as the "Head Office of Logistics," Group Logistics performs a governance function for the brand logistics organizations by strategically and tactically designing the cross-brand network to ensure optimal supply to manufacturing and sales. Alongside security of supply, efficiency and sustainability – pursued under the vision goTOzero impact logistics – are key priorities.
