The Volkswagen AG Genuine Parts Division employs approximately 2,600 people at its headquarters in Baunatal. Their task is to guarantee mobility for our customers throughout the world. With more than 70 million Volkswagen Group vehicles worldwide, this is a task that demands the highest levels of efficiency. It can only be achieved through the deployment of the most modern technologies and through intelligent, forward-looking concepts. And of course, only with qualified, motivated employees.
Our employees ensure that Volkswagen AG Genuine Parts always reach the place where they are needed, in more than 170 countries worldwide. With a range of more than 480,000 different items, we make sure that Genuine Parts are always available not only for all current models, but also for older Group vehicles - up to 15 years after series production has ended.
We have a distribution network that spans the globe, so that our customers can keep mobile at all times, wherever they are. The starting points for all deliveries are the Regional Distribution Centers (RDC), which are supported by a structure of subdepots, for example the Parts Distribution Centers (PDC). The depot in Baunatal is the RDC for the German market and for a large part of Europe. From here, the Genuine Parts are conveyed to the individual service partners by way of foreign importers and seven regional distribution centers in Germany.
We are thus able to guarantee delivery within 24 hours as a rule to our 20,000 service partners worldwide.
