Procurement of production material (P-procurement)
The "procurement of production material" entails the purchasing of all components for a vehicle, from the standard screw through to the complex dashboard.
It is separated into following departments:

- Powertrain
General procurement (A-procurement)
In general procurement everything is purchased that is not built in a vehicle.
The general procurement of the Volkswagen Group and the brand Volkswagen is managed by Mr. Klaus Ziegler.

- Vehicle assembly
- Services and Travel Management
- Group IT Purchasing
Regional Sourcing Offices (RSO)
A global network of purchasing offices supports the sourcing activities. All key decisions on awarding contracts are made in a central decision committee, maintaining regional aspects, conditions in markets, and provisions as well as with the collaboration of brands.
